In guided Rookie sessions we´ll coach you down the track.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Equipment
Bringt your ice hockey gear!
Alternatively it´s also possible to use your protection of mountainbike, motor cross or ski cross.
It is mandatory to wear a full face helmet.
Only ice hockey skates are allowed.
Skills
Of course you need at least basic skating skills.
Hockey or freestyle background are advantages, but not a must.
Downhill skills are not required.
Which nation can participate?
Any nationality is welcome!
Our target group are people who are interested to try out ice cross downhill!
It doesn´t matter if you are from Austria, Germany, Switzerland or from any other countries.

Age & Costs
Any age is welcome!
Athletes under 16 (kids category) must come with their parents.
Athletes under 18 (juniors) must bring a participation confirmation signed by their parents. The form can be requested in the contact formular below.
The costs will be set when we publish the 2022/2023 session.
You can expect about 10-25 Euro per training session.
Facilities & Accomodation
The facility sitiation will be adjusted when we publish the 2022/2023 sessions
Please come to the track already in your gear. There will be a changing room for you to put on your skates.
If you plan a overnight stay, please contact us. You will benefit from special hotel rates of our hotel partners in Judenburg.
If you plan to do a day trip, you can change your gear in town in our hotel before driving to the track.
Just contact us in advance.
Onsite there are toilets.
Please bring your own water to the track.
Covid-19
The following rules will be adjusted when we publish the 2022/2023 sessions.
To enter Austria, there is the "2G + rule". Basically, you need to be fully vaccinated or recovered. Additionally a PCR test within the last 48 hrs is required. Alternatively to a test a booster vaccination is valid.
For our training sessions the "2G rule" is required.
Please bring your covid pass.
Besides the track everyone needs to wear a FFP2 mask.
We always follow the rules of the Austrian government to protect all athletes and staff. Rules may change.

What is Ice Cross Downhill?
Four athletes start together on one signal
The task is to skate down an icy downhill track with various obstacles and features.
The two fastest athletes move on to the next round
Intentional physical contact (bodychecks, holding, ...) is forbidden.
